Alan Reifman
My research continues in two somewhat overlapping areas:

(1) Studying college-student drinking, with a focus on social influences (e.g., social networks, peers' drinking). Most recently, I have analyzed data from college students and their same-age non-college-bound peers in an attempt to isolate risk factors unique to the college environment.

(2) Developing a measure of the experience of going through "Emerging Adulthood," a life stage between adolescence and full adulthood. The measure that I have developed with my colleagues is called the IDEA: Inventory of the Dimensions of Emerging Adulthood. See my Emerging Adulthood blog.

A few other websites of mine that may be of interest to readers include:

The Hot Hand, providing statistical and probabilistic analyses of sports streakiness.

Questionnaire Instrument Compendium, providing links to online, public-domain measures of many psychosocial constructs.

Reminiscences on 1980s University of Michigan social psychology

Social Psych Lyrics, featuring lyrics I've written about famous social-psychological concepts and studies, which may be sung to the tunes of well-known songs. Explanations and examples of the concepts are also provided.
