My research continues in two somewhat overlapping areas: (1) Studying college-student drinking, with a focus on social influences (e.g., social networks, peers' drinking). Most recently, I have analyzed data from college students and their same-age non-college-bound peers in an attempt to isolate risk factors unique to the college environment.
(2) Developing a measure of the experience of going through "Emerging Adulthood," a life stage between adolescence and full adulthood. The measure that I have developed with my colleagues is called the IDEA: Inventory of the Dimensions of Emerging Adulthood. See my Emerging Adulthood blog.
